With all 9 kids in her care, she didn’t ask for any assistance with money or food, but she knew in order to maintain her job, she would definitely need child care.
DHS would not help her get child care because two of the children were not blood-related, which forced her to lose her job to stay home and take care of the children.
After falling behind with her bills the second time, no one would assist her. The door was essentially closed in her face.
Autumn and her family are currently on the waitlist for section 8 housing.
The single mother has set up a GoFundMe account to raise enough money to purchase a home for her family and gather necessary items her children desperately need.
As of right now, she has reached over 50% of her goal, bringing over $13,000 of $20,000.
