She Went Viral On TikTok For Sharing That She And Her Coworkers Had To Serve A Party Of 91 At A Restaurant

She responds to many commenters. One that stuck out to me was a response to someone asking how much the people tipped at the end of the night.

“I think it was more than one bill honestly I’m not sure but they did bring back chocolate macadamia nuts for everyone,” she said.

After her comment about the chocolate nuts being given, some people got outraged thinking this was the one compensation the servers got for such large groups.

She then goes on to post another video to explain further.

“Some of ya’ll don’t understand. I’m a host, I don’t get tips. I was the one at the front saying ‘Hi, welcome to …’ So for them to walk up to me at the end and give me a box of chocolates. I was like oh shit. I felt recognized my bad,” she explained.

She also includes that it wasn’t just one server running orders or taking out drinks and food. Everyone including the managers was helping.

She did clarify, as a response to a commenter, about how their restaurant doesn’t take reservations. But that the party did come in relatively early at about 6 with the first 51 people out of the 91.

And they also let the staff know that there were going to be 40 more people that would be joining them.

The guest continued saying that it was a tradition to come to this restaurant after the flag football tournament they were a part of.

My main question while watching these short videos was how did they split up the check?

For a check with, let’s say, 7 people the amount for drinks, food, and tip would be well over $100. So the amount the restaurant made from 91 people must have been a lot.
