Valisity explains that she had called her boyfriend, who suggested that she keep driving until she could meet up with him and not be alone. Later, her cousin offered to take the phone off her hands.
“I literally left it with her and went about my day,” says Valisity. “I went to dinner. I’m fine. I’m alive.”
This left some viewers confused as to why Valisity didn’t take it off her car, leave it on the ground, or take the phone to the police.
“No, my first instinct was not to go to the police station because I was further from the police station than I was from my boyfriend,” says Valisity. “Going to the police station would’ve elongated the danger and risk I was in because I was by myself.”
Valisity also mentions that she didn’t exit her car to move the phone because she was by herself. “I didn’t want to get out of the car until someone was with me,” she says. Thankfully, Valisity’s cousin is fine, and everything was taken care of. We’re so glad that Valisity had people around her to help.
Even if the phone was there because someone had found it on the ground and thought it was hers, it’s always better to be safe than sorry.
