“The way it was originally worded, my son got it right.”
Anyway, his son’s teacher’s response really bugged him. So, he has been engaged in a back-and-forth email battle with her ever since.
And while he thinks this is an important lesson his son needs to learn about not accepting being told you’re wrong when you’re right, his wife strongly disagrees.
In fact, his wife is angry at him for even reaching out because she believes the constant emailing might hurt the way his son’s teacher treats their son.
Nonetheless, he thinks it is important for his son to learn the lesson of how to stand behind what you feel is right.
Still, though, his wife’s comments have left him wondering if engaging his son’s teacher in this email battle was really the wrong thing to do.
Do you think he should have emailed his son’s teacher or not? What about the math question– whose answer is right? What would you have done in this situation?
