But, after she sat down at the dinner table, her in-laws realized just how delicious her meal looked. The lamb had come out incredibly tender and juicy, and their mouths were basically watering.
Then, they even asked if they could try some. But she responded with a biting comeback.
“No, I cooked only enough for myself, and I can’t risk you becoming ‘savages,'” she said.
And even though saying that felt quite good at the moment, it really upset her in-laws. In fact, they even claimed that she ruined the dinner for everyone.
Plus, after confiding in her friend, her friend also said she should have just let the comment go instead of causing a scene.
So now, she is pretty torn about the situation. Don’t get me wrong; she does not think it is ever right to make fun of other people’s food. But, she’s not sure if making that comment toward her in-laws was the best way to go about the situation.
