She Called Her Niece A Spoiled Brat, And Now Her Sister Is Furious
This twenty-two-year-old woman’s sister is twenty-eight years old and, unfortunately, is going through a divorce.
So, her sister and seven-year-old niece recently had to move into her cramped two-bedroom apartment. And tensions have been seriously high– mostly because of her niece.
“My niece is terrible, to be honest. She screams all day long at the top of her lungs. And I work from home, so I have tried to get my sister to make her stop– but my sister is so depressed from her divorce that she struggles to get out of bed,” she explained.
So, she has been forced to reprimand her niece by herself from time to time. Whenever she does that, though, her niece apparently just smirks and continues acting wildly.
For example, her niece has broken her laptop by spilling milk on it and has even gotten her reprimanded at work for the unacceptable noise level during meetings.
But, she tried to be sympathetic to her sister’s situation and just put up with her niece’s behavior for her sister’s sake.
Nonetheless, what happened last week was her last straw.
She had just come home from running some errands and found her niece playing with her Nintendo Switch.
She had already told her niece that she was not allowed to use any of her personal electronics aside from the television in the living room– especially after the broken laptop incident.

But, low and behold, her niece was defying that rule. Moreover, the Nintendo Switch had been stored in her bedroom. So, she realized that her niece had gone snooping and stolen the video game console.
In turn, she was understandably frustrated and held her hand out to take the game back from her niece.
“But she ignored me. I called for my sister to take care of her daughter, but she was asleep and told me to leave her alone. So, I just grabbed the Switch right from my niece’s hands and took it back to my room,” she recalled.
This, however, prompted a massive tantrum. Her niece apparently began screaming and hysterically crying while she rolled all around the living room floor.
She did not want to give her niece’s bad behavior any more attention, though, so she ignored it. Her niece really wanted to get a response out of her, though, so her niece took her rebellion to the next level.
“She took a Sharpie and drew all over the living room wall. And when I saw it, I freaked the heck out! I told her she is a spoiled…brat,” she said. Yikes!
This insult only made her niece wail even more– which finally woke up her sister. Nonetheless, once her sister came out of the bedroom and heard what had happened, her sister did not reprimand her niece.
Instead, she was scolded for calling her niece a spoiled brat.
This seriously pissed her off even more, and she ended up getting into a colossal argument with her sister.
She explained how she had been kind enough to let her sister and niece stay at her apartment rent-free and that she was not going to parent her niece. So, her sister needed to gather herself and get her daughter under control, or else they could find somewhere else to live.
But, after that outburst, her sister also began crying and even called her a jerk.
Plus, ever since the incident, her sister and niece have not come out of their room. So now, she is not sure if standing up for herself and reprimanding her niece was the wrong thing to do.
