“Babies here don’t get kidnapped because no one wants the responsibility of someone else’s kid, especially when our healthcare system does everything they can to help everyone who wants a baby to have their own at little to no cost,” said Annie.
Annie has her baby girl take naps outside even when they’re at home. It’s so she can get some fresh air, plus it’s now her most familiar sleeping environment.
This Danish custom allows parents more freedom because they don’t have to work around their babies’ sleeping schedules.
It’s unheard of in the U.S, and several TikTok users are in disbelief at how safe the country is.
“In America, they’d probably call child protective services on you and label it as neglect,” one user commented.
“Imagine feeling this safe in a country,” said another.
“I’m in Texas. The child would be carried away by mosquitoes,” joked a third.
Can you imagine leaving your baby outside to nap away? And do you think the U.S could ever adopt this custom?
