But, given the bonding time that he was enjoying with his daughter, he ended up asking his girlfriend if they could just meet up the following day– on Sunday– instead.
Well, it appears that his girlfriend was not happy with him flaking– because he received a pretty angry call from her afterward. Apparently, she was very upset that he decided to change their plans at the last second without even informing her.
Now, he reportedly tried to explain the whole situation regarding his daughter and admitted that he had simply forgotten. His girlfriend just was not having it, though, and simply hung up the phone on him.
Afterward, he also received another text from his girlfriend. In it, she claimed that if he did not care about their plans, then she would not be coming over on Sunday.
Well, spoiler alert: his girlfriend did not end up going over to his house on Sunday. Instead, they actually have not seen each other since last week.
So now, with his girlfriend still really upset with him, he has been left wondering whether ditching their plans to hang out with his daughter was a really jerky thing to do or not.
Is it understandable why he would want to spend time with his teenage daughter if she doesn’t normally ask him to hang out like that? At the same time, is that an excuse for him forgetting to cancel his plans with his girlfriend? If you were his girlfriend, would you be annoyed by the lack of notice, too? How can he reconcile this situation?
