“Time goes on, and I approve things for people,” she explained. “In the group chat, the other girls want to see what everyone chose.”
“My sister posted her choice (that I had never seen before that moment or approved), and it had off-the-shoulder draped sleeves, illusion cleavage, a sweetheart neckline, and a thigh-high slit up the front.”
“I tried to be supportive of her choice even though she never got my approval, and it was going to be cold that time of year. She then tried to pick out bridal white heels with white rhinestones, which I declined. We found silver ones. Then for her earrings, I approved them, after which she said they were her “something old and something new.” Kind of rubbed me wrong, but moving on.”
The thing is, her sister basically picked out her exact wedding dress, and her sister knew what her dress looked like before she bought a bridesmaid dress.
Her fiancé was furious when he found out, and he felt that her sister was intentionally trying to outshine her over the fact that she never got to have a wedding.
Her fiancé then said she had to talk to her sister and convince her to get a new dress. Instead, she informed her sister that they could close up the slit in her dress and get her a shawl for the photos and ceremony.
Her sister flipped out on her and was not willing to compromise. Her sister then accused her of looking at her as “competition.”
“So I kicked her out of the wedding party and, since she has a habit of being vindictive, uninvited her altogether,” she said. “I didn’t want drama. There is A LOT more that went on, but this is the gist of it.”
She’s left wondering if it was mean of her to uninvite her sister completely. What do you think?
