She Lied To Her Mom About Her Birthday Lunch’s Start Time Because Her Mom Is Always Late, But The Truth Came Out, And Her Mom Was Furious

Her grandma planned to host a birthday lunch for her and her immediate family at 2:00 p.m. But, when inviting her mother, they claimed the start time was actually 1:00 p.m.

She had other plans for later that evening, too– going out to dinner with her boyfriend. So, she planned to leave her grandma’s house by 5:00 p.m. latest since she needed enough time to travel home and get ready.

Well, lo and behold, her mom was still late. They first reached out at 2:30 p.m. to see what the hold-up was. And at that point, she learned that her mother had only just left home at 2:30 p.m.

Plus, her mom still had to pick up her boyfriend on the way to lunch– which was between 30 and 35 minutes away. Due to this, no one really expected her mom to show up until about 3:30 p.m.

Anyway, her mom eventually arrived two and a half hours late and “made her little entrance.” Afterward, she and her family started to question her mom about her tardiness.

It was then that her mom admitted to thinking that the lunch started at 2:00 p.m. So, she ultimately realized that an aunt had revealed the real start time to her mom– because her aunt just felt bad about lying to her mom.

After figuring that out, everyone was kind of annoyed. But they all moved on and enjoyed the rest of the lunch for another hour or so.

Then, at 4:30 p.m., it was time for her to get ready to leave. Once her mom realized that, though, her mom started getting all annoyed.

She got accused of “leaving so soon,” and her mom told her that they barely got to see each other for her birthday.

Obviously, though, that was not her fault. And she pointed that out to her mom.

“I told her that my life doesn’t revolve around her and that she should’ve been there sooner,” she recalled.
