Planting
Plant your tomato seeds in a container filled with well-drained soil and water them regularly. Aim to keep the soil lightly moist but not soaked. Ensure the pot you use has ample drainage holes to prevent the dirt from staying wet too long, eventually leading to root rot.
To increase tomato production, prune some of the small side stems growing from the main stem. Pruning will encourage the plant to produce more fruit instead of flowers.
Harvesting
Tomatoes should be harvested when they’re completely ripe. When the color of the tomato turns from green to red and comes off the vine easily, they’re ready to harvest! Hold the stem of the plant with one hand and gently pull the tomatoes off the vine with the other.
