Her Guy Best Friend’s Fiancée Told Her Not To Attend Their Wedding Because She’s Afraid He Won’t Follow Through With Getting Married

This 28-year-old woman has known her best friend, Jack since they met in pre-school. From the start, they were best buddies, and she has been close to both Jack and his family ever since.
While Jack grew up with wealthy and sweet parents, however, she was dealt a different hand. Her mom was a single mother who became an alcoholic following her birth. So, her mom would go to work, come home, and drink– never really caring for her.
Then, when she was just 15-years-old, her mom tragically died in a car accident after passing out on the road.
At that point, Jack’s parents took her in and became her foster parents.
“I love them so much. They were always there for me,” she said.
Jack, too, was always by her side– regardless of if she was sick, angry, happy, or going through her first breakup. They also rented an apartment together in college, and Jack left his first school to attend hers.
So, she claimed to see Jack as a brother and loved him as if he were the twin that she never had.
Jack apparently viewed her differently, though, and had a very large crush on her.
Now, he never actually confessed his love, but she took notice of how he felt. That’s why, when they were playing truth or dare once, and a friend asked if she would ever date Jack, she just laughed it off, said that wouldn’t happen in a million years, and reiterated how Jack was her brother.

“I have made it clear I have never seen him that way without actually telling him I know he likes me,” she explained.
“I think it will just be awkward, and I don’t want to lose him.”
During her friendship with Jack, she has even had a serious relationship, too. In fact, she was with the same guy for four years. However, they only broke up just about one year ago– and it apparently had nothing to do with her friendship with Jack.
Jack, on the other hand, never really dated anyone aside from his current fiancée Sophia– who he has been with for three years. And about a year and a half ago, he even proposed.
So, Jack and Sophia have been planning the wedding ever since, and she has been involved in the process since she is one of the “groom women.”
But while Jack kept turning to her to ask her opinion on wedding things, she noticed that his fiancée did not really like that.
That’s why she began trying to keep herself away and even made excuses as to why she couldn’t join Jack and Sophia for some of their plans.
Then, when Jack’s wedding was just two days away, she received a strange call from Sophia. She was asked to meet Sophia at the park, which was weird because she and Sophia were never really close.
Regardless, she went, and Sophia wound up telling her not to attend the wedding. Apparently, Sophia believes that once Jack sees her, he will decide not to go through with the nuptials!
She tried to tell Sophia that that was crazy, detailing how Jack is seriously in love with his fiancé and has absolutely no feelings for her.
“But Sophia told me everybody knows how he feels about me, and I either let him go or date him,” she revealed.
She was shocked by that and said she would never date Jack since he is like a brother to her. Regardless, Sophia told her to stay away from them and said that the minute they tied the knot, she would be cut off from Jack!
Now, she actually claimed she would be okay with that as long as Jack was the one making that decision. After all, she just wants him to be happy. However, she refuses to upset Jack at his wedding by not attending.
What made her even more upset was the fact that Sophia told her to stay away from Jack’s parents, too. At that point, she became really mad and told Sophia that Jack’s parents were her parents, too– and she would not be leaving them for any reason.
Anyway, after telling Sophia off, she wound up leaving. And ever since, she has not been able to stop thinking about what happened.
She really does not want to cut anybody off because Jack and his parents are her family. Yet, at the same time, she knows Sophia is a great girl for Jack, which is why she is no longer planning to go to the wedding.
“But I don’t know if Jack will feel this is the right thing to do,” she vented.
How would you feel if you were in her shoes? Do you think she should go to the wedding or not? Or should she talk to Jack about what his fiancée said first before making any decisions?
