She is struggling to know how to respond to all of this because, at the end of the day, she doesn’t really want to move. She has grown accustomed to the life that she has been living, and she doesn’t want to go back to living in the city. At 17-years-old, she doesn’t want to return to the same life she was living before.
“I don’t want to abandon my horse either, and honestly, Pete and May feel more like my parents than my real parents at this point,” she added.
