All of this fuss over a failing grade due to missing assignments has people in Mr. S’s comments backing him up and criticizing this parent’s childish behavior.
“You should say, ‘You want it changed tonight??? Then I must receive all missing assignments by tonight!'” one commenter said, to which Mr. S laughed.
Many viewers were also confused about why the parent blamed the teacher instead of the child for not handing in completed assignments.
“It’s so sad that some parents make excuses instead of holding kids accountable. Any grade below a B, my dad was on ME about it,” another person shared.
While some people have experienced intentional failing from teachers, most educators out there are not partaking in that type of behavior and just want their students to learn and be engaged in what they are teaching.
Do you think that the parent is wrong for sending this email? Or do you wish you knew the other side of the story before deciding?
