Erin did just that, but two minutes after she finished washing her hands, her fingers began tingling.
Erin didn’t tell her husband right away because she thought the tingling would stop. They started driving, and her whole hand started to go tingly, and then her whole arm.
After maybe 5 minutes, her whole arm went numb, and then she got lightheaded, and she was having trouble breathing as well. Her husband tried calming her down, reminding her to breathe, and saying that she should try drinking some water while he called 911.
“Once we got to the emergency room, I explained to them what happened, and immediately they brought me to the back,” Erin said.
“They took my blood pressure and everything. They said my vitals were not stable. They immediately put me in a room and gave me some fluids. They ran a whole bunch of tests. I had a cat scan, just a whole bunch of stuff. I was there for about 6 and a half hours. The doctors said I had acute poisoning from an unknown substance. I didn’t have enough of it in my system to determine what it was. But just that little amount had me messed up.”
Just the smallest amount of an unknown substance made her require medical care. Imagine what would have happened if she had just grabbed the napkin with her hand.
This is something that happens around the world. Bad guys are coming up with all sorts of ways to kidnap or harm people for whatever nefarious purposes they have. She was lucky, but others haven’t been as lucky. Her video is a good reminder of why we need to be more aware of things around us.
