She’s A Researcher Discussing All Of The Negative Effects She’s Observed Among “iPad Kids” Between The Ages Of Three Months And Three-Years-Old

She believes that the parenting method of letting children have high amounts of screen time is flawed, and it raises concerns about iPad kids’ learning skills and their ability to cope with boredom.

It seems that the young children of today do not have the opportunity to find ways to entertain themselves.

When they start to show signs of disinterest or unrest, they get an iPad shoved in front of their faces, which will, of course, grab their attention. This allows parents to continue what they are doing without interruption.

Connecting to technology may have its advantages, but it’s just as important to disconnect from it as well.

Children need to be provided with other outlets so they can pick up new skills. In the comments section, many TikTok users voiced their agreement with Liv and noted some instances involving iPad kids that they’ve seen.

“I saw iPad kids at Disney World. Not waiting in lines, just walking around the park zoned out into the iPads,” shared one user.

“I work in daycare, and one of the infants is literally 3-months-old and can’t fall asleep without watching Jersey Shore. JERSEY SHORE. WDYM?” commented another.

“I’ve helped in my church nursery since I was 11. I’m 24 now, and 6-month-old babies are trying to grab and take my phone. It’s crazy, I’ve never seen that,” wrote a third.

“I’m a med student, and in my pediatric rotation, I saw a 6-month-old baby who knew how to skip ads on YouTube,” added someone else.
