In June Of Last Year, She Planned To Visit And Stay With Her Mom After Saying She Didn’t Feel Safe, But She Never Arrived At Her Mom’s Home And Has Been Missing Ever Since

Additionally, Marty claimed that the reason why her daughter initially planned to travel home for a few days was because Amber said she didn’t feel safe where she was staying. However, Amber reportedly never went into detail as to why.

Once an investigation into Amber’s disappearance was launched, it was discovered that Amber had last been seen at a Dollar Tree located on S. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Lansing at about 2:00 p.m. on June 25, 2023.

Marty was also able to gain access to Amber’s Facebook account, which suggested that she’d visited a friend that same night. The friend’s home was located in a neighborhood just a few blocks away from Marty’s residence.

According to Marty, Amber had sent her friend a message confirming that she’d arrived. Then, Amber asked her friend to open the gate.

“Her post was to one of the people that’s living there and said, ‘Hey, I’m at the gate. Come and let me in.’ That was it. That’s the last thing anybody’s heard from her,” Marty explained.

This has led Amber’s loved ones to believe that foul play was involved in her disappearance, and they have not stopped searching for answers ever since.

After she went missing, Amber’s family organized two search parties and put up countless flyers.

“Whenever I travel, I take them with me. I put them in truck stops and rest areas. We’ve had a couple of search parties with no results. I’m just going to keep knocking on doors,” Marty said.

She and Amber’s sister-in-law, Kortni, also created a Facebook group entitled “Help us find Amber.” They believed that Amber’s case was not getting enough traction in the news and hoped that social media would help spread further awareness of her case.

“It just takes that one little puzzle piece to be given to us so we can bring her home. It takes one person to say something,” Kortni stated.

Marty maintains that her daughter was one of the most generous people she knew, calling her “loyal to a fault.”
