This 29-year-old girl started out as best friends with her current boyfriend, who is the same age as her.

Prior to them dating, her boyfriend was with his ex-girlfriend for four years, and their relationship appeared to be absolutely wonderful.

Then, her boyfriend asked her to help him pick out an engagement ring for his ex, and she agreed to help him.

The thing is, she was madly in love with him for the longest time, yet never confessed her feelings to him.

“After accompanying him to see several rings, I broke down and told him that I love him and that it hurts me to have to do this type of thing, knowing that he was with his ex-girlfriend,” she explained.

“He started acting distant towards me, and then I found out that he broke up with his ex-girlfriend. A few weeks later, he started dating me.”

He never told her why or how he broke things off with his ex-girlfriend, but he clearly picked her instead.

She was thrilled to be her boyfriend’s first choice, but a few months into their relationship, he started to look pretty sad to her.

She also has noticed him checking his ex-girlfriend’s social media accounts a lot. Then, several evenings ago, she came across her boyfriend sobbing in their bedroom.

It turns out he basically broke down because he discovered that his ex-girlfriend was in a relationship with someone new.

She can obviously tell that her boyfriend regrets choosing her over his ex-girlfriend, but she’s not sure what she can really do about it.

“How do I fix this?” she wondered. “It hurts me so much to see him like this. And I didn’t understand that he chose me just because of our friendship, but still, I’m in love with him.”
