She Interviewed For A Server Position At A Fancy Restaurant, And Got Served A Bottle Of Water That Cost A Whopping $33

These days, the prices of everything from food to gas to clothes feel ridiculous. We’re all out here trying to survive in a world where the cost of living feels exceptionally high.
I don’t know about you, but I feel myself cringe anytime I’m expected to pay more than $1.50 for a bottle of water at a restaurant or cafe.
But can you imagine asking a waiter for still water at a restaurant and getting served a bottle of water that costs $33?
One TikTok creator recently uploaded her reaction to getting served one of the most expensive bottles of water she’s ever seen at a nice restaurant where she had a job interview.
Rebecca (@rebeccarivette01) is a TikTok creator and young woman who recently graduated college and has been on a hunt to find a decent job.
In the middle of her job search, Rebecca interviewed for a server position at a fancy restaurant in her area.
After the interview was over, she was convinced that rich people were “stupid” upon discovering the price of some of the things served.
While being interviewed, Rebecca was asked if she wanted some water, more specifically, if she wanted still or sparkling, almost as if she was dining there.
Although Rebecca admittedly drinks tap water, she told the interviewer she was fine with still. Rebecca was poured a glass of water from a large glass bottle and, at the end of the interview, was told she could take it home.

“I was thinking this was something that you serve to a whole table like everyone shares this bottle of water,” says Rebecca in her video.
“I looked it up when I got home [and] this is just a single sale bottle of water. You want to know how much this [stuff] is?”
The bottle of still water, which turned out to be Mondariz mineral water, cost $33. If she had chosen the sparkling version, it would’ve cost around $50.
To fathom spending that amount of money on a bottle of water is nearly impossible for most of us. Personally, I’ll be continuing to ask for tap water from my servers.
What’s the most expensive bottle of water you’ve ever purchased?
