She reminded her husband that she needed to eat a lot because she was feeding their baby, but he didn’t seem to get it. He began telling her that she needed to take more pilates classes so she could get toned.
“I told him I’d rather die than do that right now, and he told me [I should] at least try harder,” she recalled.
“I told him I was trying my absolute hardest and that you don’t just magically lose weight in the gym. He wholeheartedly disagreed and went on a tangent about how he loves me and my body for carrying our baby, but he wants me to take care of myself for my health.”
While she understands her husband’s sentiment, she also feels that a major part of her postpartum care should be focused on getting plenty of rest and sleep, not pushing herself to exercise.
