When someone you’re seeing suddenly starts acting differently and your gut tells you something isn’t right, you should listen to it. TikToker Jaclyn (@jackiepriebe) did, and it saved her from a lot of heartache later on.
She had been seeing this guy, and everything was going really well at first. Their personalities and passions were similar, and they just clicked. He told her that he had every intention of making her his girlfriend.
But then, out of the blue, he informed her that his ex had reached out to him because she found out that he was seeing someone else.
He proceeded to send Jaclyn screenshots of his ex begging him to take her back.
Jaclyn asked if he had responded, and he said that he had given a vague response. Jaclyn thought it was strange, but decided to let it go. The next day, he was in a noticeably bad mood. She called him after work and asked what was wrong.
He said his ex was so distraught about him seeing someone else that she went over to his mom’s house, and they ended up talking all night long.
Jaclyn didn’t really want to be involved in a situation that seemed to be growing messier by the minute, so she suggested that he take some time to figure things out and come back to her when he was ready.
He got super defensive and started going off about how his ex had cheated on him in the past. He also mentioned that his ex was abusive and crazy. The following week, he barely texted Jaclyn at all.
She gave him the green light to go back to his ex, which made him mad. He began to switch up on her, saying that she was being too clingy and putting too much pressure on him. In the end, they broke things off.

“Months after this whole fallout, guess who he was with on his little vacation?” Jaclyn said.
“Guess who I saw him post on his Instagram story two days ago, which I blocked him, by the way. Your intuition is always right, and I can’t stand people that don’t just tell the truth right away.”
He even texted Jaclyn at 3 a.m. while he was on vacation with that girl. Jaclyn’s experience is a reminder that red flags can reveal themselves early. Trusting your gut keeps you out of trouble.
