One time, TikToker Chelsea (@chelseabellee) lived in the same building as a guy who had a huge crush on her. He was married to someone else, but they were in an open marriage.

Chelsea accepted dinner invitations from him twice for the free meals, but she never gave any hints that she was interested in him. He had also led her to believe they were group dinners.

After the second meal, she tried to make herself scarce by avoiding him as much as possible. He was pretty persistent and wanted to take things to the next level. She was moving to a new building soon, so that was her escape plan. She was glad to be free from him forever.

On the day she moved into her new apartment, she saw a bouquet of flowers sitting on her kitchen island when she walked in. She thought it was sweet that the apartment left flowers for new tenants.

As she unpacked her stuff, she looked in the fridge and found an unopened container of ice cream in the freezer. She figured that someone had left their ice cream behind.

It was also the Snickers ice cream, which was her favorite. Then, when she took a closer look at the flowers, she noticed a card. The flowers were from that guy who lived in her old building!

“He lied and said that he was my boyfriend,” said Chelsea. “Came to the building, and mind you, it was the same property management company that managed both.”

“So, I think the front desk guy at my old place had told him where I was moving to. He finds out where I live. He went there the day before I moved in to leave the gifts in my apartment.”

The girl at the front desk of Chelsea’s new building told her that she had brought the guy up to her exact unit so he could leave the gifts for her.

Chelsea was flabbergasted that she had escorted a random person, who wasn’t on the lease, up to her unit.

“Thank god he wasn’t an actual stalker,” said Chelsea. “And he never showed up? I mean, maybe he drove by, I don’t know. But he never showed up. He never sent me anything after that. I made it very clear how inappropriate it was and that I’m not interested.”

The only way she could take any legal action was if he started stalking her beyond the gifts. Luckily, it didn’t come to that. In the comments section, a few TikTok users shared similar experiences.

“I’ve had something similar happen. Thankfully, my leasing office called asking if they could let him in. I said no, they could leave whatever at the leasing office, and I’ll pick it up when I get home. I got flowers,” commented one user.

“This kind of thing happened to me, except it was especially terrifying because he was a stalker. I had moved across the country, and he showed up at my job with gifts. Thank god my job didn’t let him see me. They gave us escorts to our cars after that,” added another.
