When TikToker Savannah Phillips (@thatsavchick) was around 13 years old, she and her mom lived in an old Hollywood-style apartment that was built in the 1930s.
They were in Unit G, which was located in the middle of the building. There were two bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs, and a kitchen, dining room, and living room on the lower main floor.
While they were living there, Savannah experienced a lot of strange activity and became convinced that her bathroom was haunted. Later, she learned that somebody had been killed in the bathroom.
“I knew absolutely nothing about the history of this apartment, except that Marilyn Monroe lived there, and Bette Davis lived there, and Lindsay Lohan had friends in the building, so she was always popping in and out, which I thought was really cool,” said Savannah.
“At 13, I knew absolutely nothing negative that had ever happened there.”
About five months after moving in, Savannah was upstairs in her bathroom. It was around 8 p.m., and she noticed that something was different.
For some reason, she felt overwhelming fear and terror. The hairs on her arm stood up, her stomach dropped, and chills went up her spine. She also thought someone was breathing on her neck.
She ran out of the bathroom, slammed the door, and told her mom about it. Her mom went into the bathroom to check it out. She found nothing, but Savannah refused to set foot in the bathroom again. From then on, she started using her mom’s bathroom and didn’t have any issues.
A few months later, Savannah was home alone with her friend one morning. They were making pancakes while Savannah’s mom was out running errands.

Savannah’s friend was in the kitchen, while Savannah was sitting on the couch in the living room. She called her mom to ask if she wanted any pancakes. Her mom said yes and told her that she would be home in 10 minutes.
Savannah hung up the phone, placed it on the couch, and joined her friend in the kitchen. She was in charge of flipping the pancakes, so she had not left the kitchen at all. After they were done making pancakes, they sat down on the couch in the living room.
Savannah reached over to grab her phone, but it was gone. They looked everywhere and couldn’t find it at all. When her mom got home, she used her phone to call her own.
Savannah’s phone started ringing from upstairs. She and her friend freaked out because neither of them had gone upstairs. They found Savannah’s phone in the middle of the bathtub in the bathroom she no longer uses.
About a year and a half into living there, Savannah and her mom were watching TV when people came up to their apartment to take pictures of their unit.
Her mom went out to see what they were doing. After 15 minutes, she came back and said that those people were just fans of Bette Davis and Marilyn Monroe.
A week later, her mom stated that they should move somewhere else for a fresh start. They found a house for rent that was right up the street and signed the lease. During their last few nights in the apartment, Savannah’s friends helped her pack up her room.
Before they started packing, they went to a diner for breakfast. They began talking about whether or not someone had died in the apartment.
Finally, Savannah decided to look it up. She found out that Georgette, a 22-year-old woman from a wealthy oil family, had died in her bathroom.
In 1944, Georgette had been performing for soldiers at the Hollywood Canteen when she was followed home one night.
“Those three last nights in that apartment were the worst nights of my life,” said Savannah. “I did not sleep. I sat up in my mom’s bed with all the lights on. I just couldn’t believe that I could feel that energy in that bathroom.”
