While on a family cruise, TikToker Jamie (@livingoverthetop) found the list her husband made of his affair partner’s interests. Jamie and her husband have been married for 10 years and have three kids together. Now, she is divorced.

They planned a family cruise while they were going through marriage counseling. The cruise was hosted by her husband’s work, and everyone was allowed to bring their families.

One night, he went out gambling and left his iPad with Jamie so she could continue playing a game on it. He was hesitant to leave it with her, but he did.

At that point, they had been going to marriage counseling for about five months. Jamie kept telling the counselor that she didn’t feel like her husband was being completely honest.

After he went out gambling, she looked through his iPad and came across someone in his contacts list named Violet Johnson. Under this contact, Jamie found an address and a list of about 20 items that this woman loved.

The list included a ring size, restaurants, and her favorite salsa dancing song. She even wanted Jamie’s husband to fly her family down to visit her for her birthday.

After Jamie saw this list, she became sick to her stomach and was unable to sleep. She tossed and turned all night long. When her husband returned, she didn’t say a word about her newfound discovery.

It wasn’t until the next day, when they were on a catamaran with everyone, that she brought up the list. She showed him the screenshots she had taken, and he was furious.

“Instead of him apologizing and being straight up and honest about what the list was, he blamed me for finding the list, and when I confronted him and asked him who the list was about, I just knew in my gut that he was lying,” said Jamie.

Months before the cruise, her husband had told her that he was no longer in love with her and wanted a divorce. She gave him her wedding ring, and he put it in his nightstand.

Over the next few weeks, Jamie had a recurring dream. In her dream, her husband took her wedding ring from his nightstand and sold it so he could buy a new ring for whoever he was seeing.

After having that dream multiple times, Jamie decided to take back the ring. She put it in the safe at her parents’ house. When he later confronted her, she told him about her dreams. Then, on the cruise, she found the list with another woman’s ring size. It seemed like more than just a coincidence.

In the comments section, many TikTok users shared stories about their own cheating exes.

“My ex kept giving me mini Toblerone. I hate Toblerone. And then I found out they were his affair partner’s favorite, and he was giving me one every time he bought her a bag,” commented one user.

“I found a list of reasons he hated me in his work truck. Just sitting at work, killing time, making a list of why he hates me. The first reason was that I kept the thermostat too high, the second was that I’m scared of the dark,” shared another.

“I found a similar type of list, more of a bucket list of activities for them to do. They were all things we’d planned together. So lazy,” added a third.

Sometimes the truth doesn’t come from confrontation. It comes quietly—when your intuition won’t let go. I kept saying something wasn’t adding up. I was told I was paranoid. I was told he was trying. But patterns don’t lie. And eventually… neither does evidence. If you’ve ever felt that knot in your stomach and talked yourself out of it— this is your reminder: your body knows before your mind is ready. Trust it. That moment when you realize you weren’t crazy— you were just being lied to. This is what gaslighting looks like before you have the full story. And this is what clarity looks like after. If you’re questioning your reality right now— pause. Breathe. And trust yourself. #healing #betrayaltrauma #intuition #divorcerecovery #emotionaltruth
