If you’ve ever worked in fast food, you know the job comes with more than just drive-thru orders and malfunctioning ice cream machines.
Spend enough time behind the counter, and you’re almost guaranteed to meet at least one coworker whose behavior leaves everyone wondering how they function in everyday life.
TikToker Braden (@mlunk2) met an extremely bizarre character while working at McDonald’s. According to Braden, this wasn’t the kind of coworker who was simply quirky or socially awkward.
This guy was five years older than him and was outspoken about his religious beliefs, to say the least. They worked with a 16-year-old girl who was pregnant, and instead of showing her compassion, this guy regularly told her that she was going to the underworld.
That alone made him unpopular. However, things became much more unsettling when he asked Braden to come out to his car so he could show him something.
That something turned out to be a semi-automatic pistol, which he proceeded to point at the restaurant building. He made a chilling observation, saying, “If I shot it right now, this bullet could go through that wall and maybe hit someone and kill them.”
Needless to say, Braden was totally weirded out. It’s not every day that a coworker casually pulls out a firearm and demonstrates its destructive power by aiming it at a building full of people.
Even though this guy was no doubt an oddball, Braden managed to stay on his good side for the most part. Then, during a boycott of McDonald’s, he stopped talking to Braden after finding out he was pro-Palestinian.
Honestly, it was kind of a relief that he never spoke to Braden again.
This guy was also 25 years old and shared a bank account with his mom. He always said he couldn’t go out because his mom would get mad.
He also had a weekly food habit that left coworkers baffled. On his days off, he would come into McDonald’s and order eight double cheeseburgers to reheat and eat throughout the week.
That last detail sparked a discussion in the comments section, and some TikTok users expressed their thoughts on his behavior.
“I had an uncle who would buy Arby’s roast beefs and freeze them, then reheat them throughout the month,” commented one user.
“One time, I reheated a double cheeseburger from the day before, and I got violently ill the next day. How is he saving them for a week?” questioned another.
“The ordering on your day off is clinically insane,” stated a third.
Overall, this guy was definitely the kind of person who stands out from the crowd and that you’ll remember long after you’ve clocked out for the final time.
