Video Footage Proves This Teen Got Off The School Bus 11 Years Ago, But Then She Disappeared
Spring, Texas. 16-year-old Alexandria Joy Lowitzer was a student at Spring High School who loved animals and art.
Those closest to her called her Ali. She was a Girl Scout. She also played softball (she was the catcher) and sang in the choir.
Ali enjoyed painting, drawing, and spending time listening to her favorite music. Something of a homebody, Ali really never ventured out to spend time with her friends. Instead, they would come over to hang at her house.
It was April 26th, 2010, and Ali was about to finish school for the day. Right before she got on the school bus, Ali placed a call to her mom, Jo Ann, to talk about picking up the paycheck that was waiting for her at the Burger Barn.
Ali had recently started her job there, and she was excited about the money she had earned with her hard work.
Ali always got dropped off at work, but that day, she wanted her mom to let her walk to the Burger Barn to get her paycheck since her grandma wasn’t around to drive her.

The walk would only take Ali a quarter of a mile to get from her house to where she worked, and at first, Jo Ann wasn’t keen on letting Ali make the trip.
Jo Ann told Ali that her grandma probably could get her there the following day, but Ali pleaded with Jo Ann to let her walk there without having to wait for a ride.

Eventually, Jo Ann gave Ali permission to walk to work, but she made it clear to her daughter that she had to go right there and not make any other stops.
Jo Ann then asked Ali to let her know when she got there safely and to let her know when she should swing by to get her since Ali wanted to stay and work for a few hours.
Ali was absolutely thrilled that her mom said yes. She finished speaking to her mom, left school at 2:25 that afternoon, and got on the school bus to take her home.

Now, Ali’s school bus had a security camera, and Ali was last seen on the video footage getting off her bus that day just three houses away from where she lived.
She got off the bus with a few other neighborhood kids, who remembered her walking behind them, busy texting away on her phone.
“The last eyewitness accounts of Ali state she was walking away from her home towards exiting the neighborhood,” Jo Ann wrote on a website dedicated to Ali.
“The last communication recorded was a text message sent to a friend at 2:57 PM. A reasonable assumption would be that ten minutes of casual walking would put Ali somewhere on the road outside her neighborhood that leads to the Burger Barn.”
Jo Ann had been at work herself when Ali got off the bus, headed to the Burger Barn, but Jo Ann got home at approximately 5:30 that night like she normally did.
Jo Ann was not surprised that Ali wasn’t there to greet her, as she was under the impression Ali was still at work. She tried sending some texts to Ali, which Ali never replied to.
Jo Ann then made her way to the Burger Barn right before they closed, to see if Ali was perhaps busy and that’s why she didn’t answer.
But when Jo Ann got to the Burger Barn, she was shocked to find that it was not even open, and Ali was nowhere to be found.

In the hours that followed, Jo Ann called everyone she could think of to see if Ali could have gone somewhere else.
When nobody could tell Jo Ann where Ali was, she called the police to report her daughter as missing.
According to Jo Ann, the police classified Ali as a runaway since they couldn’t find any evidence of foul play or a crime having been committed in connection to her disappearance.
Ali’s family knows she didn’t run away.
For one thing, Ali’s bag was lying on the floor of her bedroom, and money was inside. Ali’s makeup was all there, lined up by the sink in her bathroom.
Ali’s charger was in the outlet on the wall of her bedroom. Ali’s clothes were in her room. Ali’s jewelry wasn’t missing.
Everything that this teen owned, everything that she had that she considered to be special to her…it was all still there, but she was not.
“Ali was an avid texter, averaging 4,000 per month and used her cell phone often yet all communication including pinging cell towers, stopped at about 3:00 PM,” Jo Ann revealed.
“The paycheck she intended to pick up was reported by the manager of the Burger Barn as not being picked up yet. Burger Barn employees claimed not to have seen Ali that afternoon.”

Ali’s family says that she had so much going for her, and it doesn’t make any sense to them that she would have run away.
Ali was in the middle of organizing her best friend’s birthday party, which had an Alice In Wonderland theme.
Ali had an upcoming appointment to get her braces removed, and anyone who ever had to wear braces as a kid knows it’s something to celebrate getting them finally taken off.
That summer, Ali was signed up for driver’s ed, as well as a college art class one of her teachers suggested she take.
So where on earth did Ali go? That’s a question nobody has been able to answer for 11 long years now.
Ali’s family still hopes that one day, they will be able to welcome Ali home safely. In addition to a website for Ali, they also have created a Facebook page to help generate awareness for her.
