After His Owner Passed Away, This Doberman Was Dumped Outside In The Freezing Cold For Two Months And The Only Reason He Survived Is Because A Neighbor Stopped To Feed Him

At first, Levi’s new family and his rescuers figured that he was so incredibly skinny because he was neglected and not fed enough.

After having Levi in their home for two days, his new family realized there had to be more going on with Levi than just being underfed.

“Day 2, Levi went to their regular vet, as Levi’s weakness, and inability to walk, was obviously due to more than starvation,” Michelle said.

“The vet referred them to a neurologist. After $3952 worth of tests, including an MRI, the family was informed that Levi has two acute ruptured discs in his back.”

“He will not be able to walk again unless he has the spinal surgery. After the surgery, he will need to go to rehab and learn how to walk again.”

On top of all this, today, Levi’s family learned that he was also diagnosed with Von Willebrand Disease, which means his blood does not clot normally.

This new diagnosis means that Levi’s surgery cost will be much higher than his family anticipated; in the ballpark of $7,000 or more.

If you would like to donate to Levi’s surgery fund, you can do that here.
