Her Sister’s Teen Stepdaughter Has Been Acting So Inappropriately Towards Her Husband And Now It Has Caused A Rift In The Family

“But that’s my parent’s house. So she can’t stop him from coming over,” the woman said, “She promised she’d resolved this with Scarlett and talk to her sternly.” Clearly, though, that has not happened– because another incident occurred soon after.

A week ago, the woman and her husband went to her parent’s house again for dinner. Her sister and Scarlett were also there.

“Once my husband and I walked through the door, Scarlett came running like she was five and hugged my husband by wrapping her arms around his waist,” the woman said.

Scarlett kept telling the husband how nice it was to see him even after he tried to keep his distance. But then, she really took it too far.

“She then placed her hand on his belt and started playfully pulling the prong with her finger– while she was still talking to him– as if she was talking to her boyfriend,” the woman said, “I found this appalling, my husband was clearly confused, and that is when I shouted at her to have some respect and get away from him.”

Scarlett tried to talk back, but the woman stuck to her guns. Finally, she told Scarlett that her behavior was utterly disrespectful and made her husband so uncomfortable.

“My sister got involved trying to get me to calm down, but I told her she was responsible for not doing anything about her stepdaughter’s behavior,” the woman said, “She left with her after we had a huge fight that night.”

Since Scarlett is adult-aged, the woman’s parents told her she was wrong to blame her sister. Instead, they believe that only Scarlett can be held responsible for her own behavior.

The woman agrees but also recognizes that her sister is the one who brought Scarlett around the family.

“She’s seen how inappropriately she behaves but said and did nothing. She let it get this far,” the woman said.

The sister instead argued that the woman’s husband was actually responsible since he stood there and did not defend himself.
