She Welcomed Twins Conceived One Week Apart And This Is An Exceptionally Rare Occurrence

“I could not talk. I was shaking, I was crying; I was excited,” she continued.

Cara’s superfetation is one of the few cases that has occurred naturally without any IVF treatments.

According to Healthline, superfetation is when “another ovum (egg) is fertilized…and implanted in the womb days or weeks later than the first one.”

“Babies born from superfetation are often considered twins since they may be born during the same birth.”

The couple’s OBGYN believes that, in Cara’s case, the two babies were conceived about one week apart.

And on October 25, 2021, the couple welcomed their two twin boys. The “first” twin, Colson, weighed six pounds and five ounces, while Cayden was born weighing four pounds and nine ounces.

Cara only began sharing her miraculous pregnancy story on her TikTok account, @mommawinhold, this past month. To learn more about the Winhold family and watch her “boy mom” TikToks, visit Cara’s account linked here.
