“I told him I did, and he said only half I hadn’t paid for her, and she was left there without any money to pay for her stuff,” he said.
“His wife butted in and said I made her look like a bad friend because she told her friend I was a stand-up guy, but then I left her high and dry like that.”
“I told them both to remember they had asked me and her to go on this double date; I didn’t ask her out myself. If anyone had expected me to pay, then it should’ve been discussed. It wound up not being resolved.”
He is really left puzzled about whether he does indeed owe his friend money for this woman’s dinner.
