However, a few days later, his girlfriend went looking for gluten-free flour in their kitchen and could not find any. So, she eventually confronted him about how he made the pizza, and he was forced to confess that it was never gluten-free.
She apparently got really upset that he lied to her about the meal and even accused him of being selfish and unsupportive of her career.
Still, though, he thinks it is insane to stick to such a restrictive diet so stringently. So, he tried to explain to his girlfriend that she is beautiful the way she is and that it is okay to eat “regular food” every now and then.
Then, he decided to bring up his concerns about her diet and cited how her modeling career was already moving along pretty successfully. But, his girlfriend did not see his concern as genuine care. Instead, she thinks that he is not being sympathetic to the high beauty standards that are expected of her.
So now, he is stuck in a pretty sticky situation. He is honestly concerned that his girlfriend does not allow herself any wiggle room in the diet department. At the same time, though, he is not sure if lying to her about the pizza being gluten-free was the wrong way to try and help her let loose.
