If you happen to find a 1992 penny with both of these little quirks, then you could be in for a nice hunk of cash!
In his video, Shaun shows that the last known example of the rare penny sold in May of this year for just under $1,100.
For one penny! However, you could probably find ways to sell it for more. In fact, in July 2012, one of the pennies was sold for over $20,000 at an auction.
So next time you’re sorting through your change jar or find a penny on the sidewalk, it just might be worth taking an extra minute to see if it belongs to the rare variety.
