She Got Into An Argument With Her Husband After She Said That She And Her Kids Will No Longer Attend Her Stepson’s Sports Games Because Of His Attitude

Lucas is very serious about a certain keepsake and sometimes carries it around the house. It’s a small box filled with a few trinkets that used to belong to his mother.

The box stays in his room, and no one is allowed to touch it. She’s been very firm with the other kids and told them never to touch it unless they get permission from Lucas.

But recently, Lucas has been using the box as a way to show how he really feels about her and his siblings.

On multiple occasions, he’s said in front of them that the box means more to him than they ever will and that he’d pick the box if he had to choose between them or the box.

She discovered that Lucas had told his brother and sisters directly that he’d trade their lives for the trinket box, which deeply concerned her.

Her husband tried to talk to Lucas but realized he couldn’t get through to him, as Lucas didn’t see the severity of what he was saying.

She and her husband want to get Lucas to see a therapist, but he doesn’t want to.

“Lucas argued that he didn’t need therapy, and just because he doesn’t care about us or our lives doesn’t mean there is something wrong with him,” she recalled.

Given Lucas’ concerning behavior, she made a decision regarding his siblings.

“I told my husband that given Lucas’ attitude toward the kids, they will no longer show up to cheer him on at any sports games or the like,” she said.

“My husband argued [that] we are still a family. I told him my kids do not need to cheer on the boy who has told them to their faces multiple times that their lives are meaningless to him.”
