Another thing she noticed about living in London was the contrast between certain appliances. Instead of having a separate washer and dryer, many London homes contain a combined washing and drying machine due to lack of space.
It may save space, but it is apparently not very effective in completely drying your clothes.
To sum up, Noelle states that the culture shock isn’t too bad since people speak English in London. However, it would be a different story if you’re an American moving to a non-English speaking country.
