One commenter has a rule, “This is a rule at my house. If we are invited, we’re GOING! We have been the only one that shows up. So sad this happens I’m so sorry,” she shared.
Several other people replied to this comment with the same sentiments. If they’re invited, they go unless there was a previous engagement that can’t be canceled or if someone is sick. Which is a good rule to have, in my opinion.
Another said they go on trips with family instead. One other shared that they don’t do parties anymore, but they spend the money on whatever the child wants to do.
“This happened to me on my 16th bday. Never had tried again until I was like 26, and it happened again. I’m 39, now I always treat myself to a spa day,” another person shared.
That is pretty cool to do. No child should ever have to experience what Avery has, and her mom tried to give her child a good birthday party.
@breannamstrong I wish I was making this up. #noshow #birthdayparty #fyp #trending #sahm #makefriends
