If You Admire The Women Who Always Seem To Have Extra Cash, Here’s How To Become “That Girl” And Take Charge Of Your Finances

I’ve always looked up to women who aren’t only financially savvy regarding basic finances but also know how to manage their extra money.
You know, the kind of women who seem to have everything together and seem so wise and experienced regarding their finances without being cheap or frugal. They aren’t afraid to splurge occasionally but rarely get messy with any credit card debt or debt in general.
These kinds of women, sometimes known as “finance girlies” or “girl bosses,” often have good tips for managing their money to the point where they have a little something extra to fall back on.
Here are some tips for channeling these financial gurus and learning to embrace and balance your financial situation!
Find small ways to save daily
If there are certain things in life you don’t want to be afraid to indulge in, then find ways to save on other parts of your daily routine!
For instance, if you want to be able to go out for Friday night drinks with your girlfriends and not be afraid of over-indulging when it comes to paying your tab, then don’t! Just find other ways to save throughout the week.
You can do this by making your daily coffees at home instead of stopping at Starbucks, taking public transportation instead of ride services whenever possible, or following at-home workout tutorials instead of paying for expensive classes. Little savings like this will make the things you want to really enjoy even more fun!
Be mindful of your spending

Let’s face it: when you have a bit of money coming in, you feel really powerful, confident, and cool when you get to spend it on whatever you want. I’ve been guilty of going on the occasional unnecessary shopping spree when my paycheck comes in.
However, financial girlies don’t lose themselves in unnecessary spending. Instead, they spend mindfully.
The next time you find yourself about to buy something that you don’t truly need or have been thinking about for weeks, no matter how expensive or cheap it is, think again.
Don’t get overly confident
You should continue manifesting abundance in your life and walk around as if you’re at your wealthiest to bring in good energy and confidence. However, you don’t want to begin spending as if you’re living at your richest.
You can have a rich mindset and project that energy into the world without living above your means. Focus on spending money on essential things that will help you grow mentally, physically, and spiritually instead of materialistic and superficial items.
Set aside spending money
This may sound obvious, but financially independent women and “girl bosses” must budget. How can you make the most of your finances if you don’t allocate your funds to certain needs? One of the biggest things you should be budgeting is your “fun money” to ensure your spending doesn’t get out of hand.
For instance, if you like to go clothes shopping once a month, allocate a certain amount of your monthly budget toward that. If you go out to eat at least twice a week, set some money aside for that.
It’ll be extremely difficult to manage your finances and prevent mindlessly spending too much money without making a budget.
Check your bank accounts
Speaking of managing your finances, you can’t be afraid to routinely check your bank account to ensure everything is in tip-top shape. I’ve had moments where I’ve avoided checking my bank account and statements because I was scared to see how little money I had in there. A lot of us have been there!
However, to stay on top of the game financially, you need to make sure you’re checking your bank statements.
You want to ensure your paychecks are coming in and are at the right amount, that you’re not paying any unnecessary subscriptions, and, of course, you want to make sure there’s no fradulent activity going on!
It can be hard to channel the energy of a financially savvy boss lady sometimes, especially if you grew up in a household that struggled to manage money.
But with these simple tips, you’ll be on your way to financial stability and confidence. You’ve got this!
