This man has been dating his girlfriend, who is 24, for a year now. But while everything has been going great in their relationship, there’s one specific thing that’s been bugging him: the fact that his girlfriend still has photos of her and her ex on her social media accounts.
“And these aren’t just any pictures. They’re romantic ones from when they were together, and seeing them makes me uncomfortable,” he said.
So, after a while, he tried broaching the topic with his girlfriend and explaining how the photos made him feel. Then, he asked if she’d be willing to delete the pictures from her profiles for good.
Well, his girlfriend was apparently just shocked by his request. She also claimed that the photos were a part of her past, and she didn’t want to “erase” that.
That’s why she refused to delete the posts. Rather, his girlfriend just reassured him that she was completely over her ex. She also swore that the photos didn’t mean anything to her anymore.
Despite that, though, he has a gut feeling that his girlfriend hasn’t truly moved on from her last relationship.
After all, he believes that, if she had, then she wouldn’t want to keep all of their shared memories so public online.
“It’s not that I don’t trust her, but it feels weird to have those moments out there while we’re trying to build a future together,” he vented.
Due to this, he’s been unable to let the issue go. Instead, he has tried talking to his girlfriend about deleting the photos a few more times.
