Back when this 27-year-old man initially met his 24-year-old fiancée, she had him fooled. She mentioned she had spent her entire life on disability and truly needed this assistance.

He’s been with her for nearly two years now, and this is not the truth. His fiancée is completely capable of working, but she simply does not want to get a job.

“Her typical day involves sleeping till the afternoon, staying in bed till I get home from work, glued to her phone, doing nothing productive around the house,” he explained.

“Absolutely no chores get done, dinner doesn’t even get attempted to be cooked, and as soon as I walk in that door, she nags.”

“Because she sleeps all day and stays up till all hours of the night, she keeps me up. By the time I get home from work I’m often dead tired but still have to clean the house, cook dinner, and [she expects me] to want to go out and do things all while she sits on her phone starting drama online on her stupid social media platforms.”

His fiancée treats him like trash and finds issues with every tiny thing. If he attempts to speak to her about anything at all, she turns the conversation into some kind of personal attack.

She then says men never listen and puts men down as a whole, which he finds trashy. If he does something she does not like, she scolds him for days on end.

He feels like he is always walking on eggshells whenever he is around his fiancée. She isn’t just like this behind closed doors, though; this is her entire persona on social media and something she brags about.

“My fiancée has always been a bragger and a look-at-me type; all she cares about is outdoing her friends and wants fancy cars, houses, boats, and everything we can’t afford,” he said.

“It got so bad money-wise I had to surrender my Jeep and my sports car and buy a cheap and reliable cash car, to which she told me she does not want to be seen in it and that it’s embarrassing.”

“Completely disrespectful and makes me sick to be around her. When we drive around in that said car, she immediately takes control of the music playing her garbage 2000’s rap and blasting it while complaining about everything and criticizing other drivers when she doesn’t even have her license.”

He feels completely alone in life, and he also thinks their engagement is nothing but fake. He’s not sure if it’s possible for him to escape his nightmare of a life without losing his career and everything he has worked so much for in the process, since she’s threatened to ruin him if he ever decides to leave her.

What advice do you have for him?
