In response, she nodded and meekly agreed. The lady took on a more urgent tone and repeated her cautionary advice. She said she understood her words and backed out of the bathroom. When the door swung in, the woman had disappeared. She stood there for a little while, staring at the door and wondering what had just happened.
Then, she got back into her car and continued driving. She drove in complete silence for two to three hours. Suddenly, she heard a faint ticking noise that she wouldn’t have been aware of if she had the radio on.
Immediately, she took the next exit and stopped at a gas station in Kentucky. Once she parked her car, the engine started to act up. She could hear a series of booms, bangs, and clunks. Smoke was spilling out from under the hood.
Later, the mechanic informed her that her timing belt had completely fallen apart, and the chain was broken. He said he had never seen anything like it before, adding that if it had happened while she was driving, she most likely would’ve lost control of the vehicle, crashed, and died.
Afterward, she knew that the strange woman who had materialized in the gas station bathroom had been an angel sent from heaven to save her life.
