Her Dad Has A 23-Year-Old Girlfriend He Wants To Marry, And She Feels Like He’s Blowing Their Lives Up With His 42-Year Age Gap

“My sister (32F) has already stopped talking to my dad over this and won’t talk to him again unless they break up. She thinks this is the biggest and latest poor decision he has made and has reflected on him having a pattern of making judgment errors. I know nobody is perfect, but this really makes me question everything.”

She is completely spiraling over coming to terms with her dad giving her a stepmom way younger than she is.

If her dad found someone his own age, or maybe even 45 or 50, she would support him like crazy. Heck, if he said he had a boyfriend instead of a girlfriend, she would cheer for him.

But she is not alright with her dad wanting to marry a girl who is 23.

“Has anyone been through something similar?” she wondered. “What did you do, and how did it work out? Can it work out? What if my stepmom is younger than me? Am I overreacting?”
