A TikTok user who goes by the handle @lexischarice found out that her close friend was a serial killer. She met him during her freshman year of high school in Kansas City.
He was a year older than her, but they were in the same friend group. They became really close, and she even considered him to be her brother. They hung out all the time after school.
Then, her parents split up in her sophomore year of high school. She ended up moving and had to go to a different school. He wound up at the same school for his junior year.
He got a job at Pizza Hut, and his manager let him take the leftover wings home. He sold them at school, which made him popular among his classmates.
He was a normal and cool guy, with plenty of friends, and a lot of girls liked him. Nothing ever seemed off about him. Things started getting weird when it was her junior year and his senior year.
He used to dress nicely and keep his hair neatly combed, but one day, he started showing up to school looking dirty and disheveled.
His face seemed unwashed, and he threw on random clothes. Rumors began to spread about his change in appearance, and people thought he might’ve been dabbling in drugs.
She believed it because he was acting differently, and she knew that some of his family members suffered from mental health issues.
As time went on, they stopped being friends because he threatened to kill her. He cut off ties with everyone he knew. On October 22, 2013, she was leaving school when he got into a physical altercation in front of a nearby church with one of his brothers. She was pregnant at the time and ended up going into labor from fleeing the scene of the fight.

She graduated in 2014 and continued living in the area. She and her cousin would see him walking around in the summertime, wearing sweatsuits.
Then, a body was found on the trail near where they lived. A month later, another body was on the trail. After a couple of months, a total of five bodies were discovered in that area.
Over the span of a year, he had allegedly murdered five people, and they were all older men. His last victim wasn’t from the area.
The news stated that the last victim was a homeless woman, and it was believed she was killed because she looked like a man. To this day, his trial keeps getting delayed due to mental incompetence.
“It’s just really sad to see people that you grew up with turn out like that,” said @lexischarice. “You never really know your neighbors, your friends, your family. Like, this is somebody’s brother, somebody’s son. He was going home to family every day.”
