When she was 17 years old, TikToker Hailey Morgan (@itshnm_21) had a friend who showed off a spellbook to her.
The friend explained that you were supposed to write one word in the spellbook, and then whatever you wrote would be manifested into your life.
That just sounds like the ultimate life hack when you’re a teenager.
As you’re writing the word, whatever you are thinking about in the moment is what will happen. Hailey thought this was super cool and was eager to try it out.
At the time, she worked with a girl who kept hogging her crush’s attention, so Hailey wanted this girl to get sick for just a few days.
Nothing too crazy, maybe a slight cough, a light bout of sniffles, and an uncomfortable headache. That way, she could clear the playing field and have some time to get on her crush’s radar.
Hailey’s friend instructed her to write the word “sickness” in the spellbook. The next day, Hailey got the flu. Instead of making her crush fall in love with her, she had accidentally summoned chaos and confusion.
After that, she learned her lesson and is now more careful about what she wishes for. Karma truly does have a twisted sense of humor.
Several TikTok users shared their own unpleasant experiences with witchcraft in the comments section and warned others not to mess with it because it can unleash darkness.

“Yup! Spells/manifestation can go either way. I did an obsession spell meant for him, but it backfired onto me, and I had to pull myself out of a near psychosis from it. Use protection when casting!!” exclaimed one user.
“Don’t wish upon others what you wouldn’t wish upon yourself. I feel that in life and magic, you get exactly what you earn,” stated another.
“Back when my ex and I first broke up, I manifested for him to be obsessed with me. This dude would call me 50+ times a day, show up to my job, wait outside of my car at work, so many crazy things,” commented someone else.
