One Friday night, TikToker @themrsw learned that her 16-year-old daughter received a phone call from an inmate at a state correctional facility.

The phone calls kept coming until she eventually answered. She accepted the phone call and told the caller to stop trying to get in contact with her daughter.

She hung up the phone, but the calls continued. Her daughter is now a junior in high school, but when she was in seventh grade, there was a boy who developed an unhealthy attachment to her.

“He had already done a couple of stints in juvie and mental health facilities,” explained @themrsw. “And after she blocked him on everything, he, at 14 years old, stole a car and drove it up to the school to track her down,”

When he was arrested, the police found drugs and pictures of her daughter on his cell phone, which had obviously been taken without her consent.

Over the past several years, her family has dealt with him driving by their house and on and off phone calls. The off periods coincided with him being in juvie because he is not allowed to contact her daughter when he is there.

He was in juvenile detention and is now in a state facility. He was moved after attacking four officers, resulting in four felony counts.

Each came with a two-year sentence that is running concurrently. He is a large person, coming in at six feet and seven inches tall and weighing 240 pounds.

“Now, I don’t know if they decided to try him as an adult, because of the severity of that crime, because the number of crimes that he has committed, or because he will be 18 in January, but either way, he has landed himself in big boy jail,” @themrsw said.

She had to file a report with her local police department and take the paperwork down to the courthouse, so the judge could decide whether or not to grant an order to prevent this kid from contacting her daughter.

The family plans on moving away next spring so that he won’t be able to find her daughter once he gets out.

Many TikTok users expressed sympathy for her family’s situation and shared some advice on next steps in the comments section.

“That is so scary. Stalkers are a different breed and can be exceptionally dangerous for a long time. You both need to take self-defense classes, and most importantly, remember your Second Amendment right. Seriously,” commented one user.

“This type of person will not stop until he is dead. I can’t imagine what y’all are going through. I wish we could bring back max-security mental facilities. So many people are truly evil and vile. Very little is done to protect society from people like this,” wrote another.

“They don’t care until we’re hurt. It’s so frustrating. I’m sorry you’re dealing with this, and I’m glad you reached out to the warden. Get full coverage indoor and outdoor house cams if you can,” added a third.
