When @rootbeerlovermak was in fifth grade, she attended a small private school and had a science teacher who used to bring students to her house without their parents’ knowledge or consent.

This teacher was a very animated ex-actress, and she was not the kindest when it came to learning differences. TikToker @rootbeerlovermak took her tests in alternate rooms because she needed extra time to finish them.

“She could not stand it as an educator,” @rootbeerlovermak said. “That was crazy to me. But she wasn’t really a teacher. She was an ex-actress who just happened to want to work at the school, and I think they just gave her a job.”

“She wasn’t the nicest to me. She would give me a lot of problems. I maintained an A in her class, but I would have to work extra hard because STEM classes just weren’t my thing, and she wanted to see me fail so bad, along with the other kids who needed a little bit of extra help,” she added.

For example, one time, she got an answer correct on a test, and she and her friends compared answers so they could learn from their mistakes. However, the teacher marked her answer wrong, so her mom had to have a little chat with her.

With that being said, this teacher would take the students to her house for field trips, but did not let their parents know or have them sign any permission slips.

For years, they would take trips to her house. It was about a 10-minute walk from the school, so she would make them walk single-file, girls in one line, boys in another.

Her parents were always at her house, and they were very old. They would linger and stare at the children. The house was also dark and creepy.

There was barely any furniture. The street she lived on was nice, and the houses were huge, but inside was like the set of a horror movie. Her backyard was just dirt with a small patch of greenery containing some flowers and veggies she had planted.

The students were all confused as to why they were in this woman’s house and backyard. TikToker @rootbeerlovermak thought there must be something weird going on because it didn’t make sense to her.

None of the kids told their parents because they were under the impression that their parents knew about the field trips.

Fast forward a few years, when @rootbeerlovermak was in eighth or ninth grade, she finally mentioned the field trips in passing. Her parents’ jaws dropped in shock.

At that time, they were still in contact with other parents from the school, so her parents began texting them about the teacher. It turned out that none of the parents knew their kids were being taken to the teacher’s house.

“I think that she is just an odd individual, but maybe she also had a weird agenda that we didn’t know about,” concluded @rootbeerlovermak.

In the comments section, several TikTok users shared wild teacher stories and dropped a few theories about why the teacher might’ve brought @rootbeerlovermak and her classmates to her house.

“My teacher used to offer me rides home from school every day (I lived 5 minutes from my school), and she would offer me food and a ride around town, and I always declined,” commented one user.

“Most benign answer is she just felt like going home/didn’t feel like teaching but couldn’t walk out on the class, so she just dragged y’all along with her,” suggested another.

“My old teacher got two of a student’s family members addicted to blow,” added a third.
