Almost four years ago, TikToker Olivia (@oliviaakayee) met Tristan, and two years into their relationship, she met his family. The second his niece walked into the room, she could tell something was off. There was some very obvious tension.
Eventually, Olivia found out that her boyfriend of four years is engaged to his 17-year-old niece. Her now ex-boyfriend, Tristan, is 27 years old.
Tristan’s niece recently turned 17 and just graduated from high school. Tristan is related to his niece by marriage, not by blood. His niece is related to his sister-in-law by blood.
With the help of her friends, Olivia dug up some dirt on Tristan one day. The search was triggered after he brought up his niece while they were sleeping together.
At the time, the niece was only 14. Olivia was confused and weirded out. Later, she called her friends and told them what had happened.
They started doing their research and ended up finding a mugshot of Tristan from when he was 21 years old. He had been charged with first-degree abuse.
Olivia confronted him about it, and he told her that the charges were dropped because they were false accusations. She believed the whole story.
Then, in February 2026, a couple of days before Olivia’s birthday, she went on his phone and realized that all the messages between him and a childhood friend had been deleted, except for one random text. Tristan yanked the phone out of her hand and quickly deleted that message before locking himself in the bathroom.
He finally admitted that he had changed a girl’s phone number to his friend’s name. After that, he started telling Olivia that he wanted to get married and have kids with her.

“I’m not going to lie—he did manipulate me to stay with him,” said Olivia. “He booked multiple trips for us. We booked a cruise together. His family was going on this cruise. Like, he was planning out the rest of our year together, so me being a dumb little girl, I give into it and I stay with him.”
She got through a couple of vacations with him, but it was very obvious to her that something was up. During their vacation to Vegas, he stayed out every night until 7:00 a.m.
She didn’t think much of it because she figured he was busy at the casino. But when they returned home from the trip, he blocked her on everything, packed a bag, and left without warning.
He came home three days later. She declared that they were breaking up and she wanted nothing to do with him. He packed up the rest of his stuff and moved out. They didn’t speak for two weeks. In that time, she moved into a new place and started a new job.
“I think he starts to realize that he messed up, and he essentially just began begging for me back, like saying that he has no purpose, hysterically crying, and calling me,” Olivia recalled.
They had to see each other on the cruise, and from the moment he set foot on the ship, he was violating her boundaries. Then, he started receiving multiple phone calls from his sister-in-law.
Olivia realized that his sister-in-law and niece were viewing all her vacation posts on social media immediately. She reached out to the sister-in-law to ask what was going on. That was when she learned that Tristan was engaged to his niece. Olivia confronted him, but he still denied everything.
So, she contacted the niece and let her know what had been happening on the cruise. The niece said that they had been together since February.
Olivia decided to text the family group chat about this, but Tristan’s entire family already knew and even supported the relationship. Olivia called the niece’s dad, who had no idea any of this was going on.
“He doesn’t know his daughter is engaged to her uncle,” said Olivia. “He doesn’t know that they’ve been hanging out, sleeping together every night. He does not know a single thing.”
They talked on the phone for over an hour. When he learned the news, he was livid and threatened to hurt Tristan. He went on to say that he was taking away his daughter’s car and phone.
Olivia can’t figure out why Tristan’s family was okay with him being engaged to his own niece, but she wishes them the best and hopes the niece can get help.
