When a 24-year-old woman made exaggerated gagging noises while walking past TikToker Michelle (@honidon), she wasn’t offended. At her stage of life, it takes a lot more than a petty gesture to faze her.
The awkward moment happened after the younger woman had tried to hit on Michelle’s husband, even though he was clearly wearing a wedding ring.
She and her friend had come up to Michelle’s husband to get him to help “clarify something with the bartender.”
Once the woman realized that he was married to Michelle, she proceeded to act like she was vomiting. Michelle’s husband was helping a drunk friend get to their Uber at the time, so he wasn’t there to witness it.
Michelle saw the situation for what it was: insecurity wrapped in immaturity. Instead of feeling insulted, she found the behavior laughable.
“I’m sorry you weren’t available 13 years ago; you were 11. [Sad] for you,” said Michelle.
In the caption of the video, she added that her height seemed to have offended the woman most of all. She was fairly certain that the 24-year-old (who was 5’11”) was upset about Michelle being 5’1″ and married to a man who was 6’2.”
She doesn’t believe in trying to change the behavior of others, particularly random strangers she encounters in public. To her, chasing the woman down, as a fellow TikTok user suggested, would have felt silly.
Several TikTok users could relate to Michelle’s experience with younger women being attracted to their husbands, and they took to the comments section to share their own stories.

“I’ve had a shop employee ask if I knew my husband after seeing my last name on my ID. I said yes. She then asks, ‘So, you’re his sister?’ No, darling, I’m his wife. Her face fell. I laughed all the way to the car. The girl was like 20, and hubby and I are almost 40. Told hubby, now he’s scared to go into that store,” commented one user.
“My husband has hit the zaddy age even though we’re childfree. We’re both 34, and he gets sooo many women in their twenties who hit on him. I just giggle,” wrote another.
“My husband always gets hit on, especially when he’s at the store with our three-year-old. It has only happened once or twice when I was with him. I honestly don’t pay them any mind. They’ve looked me up and down before. I just smile, wrap my arm around him, and continue on. I get to go home with him,” added a third.
Overall, Michelle’s story resonated so much with people because of her response to what was meant to be an insult. She stood firmly in her confidence rather than lash out, showing that maturity always wins.
