On November 15, 2025, TikToker Cheyanne (@cheylynne7) was supposed to go to her cousin’s baby shower, but the day took a much more terrifying turn. She ended up having a brain hemorrhage and couldn’t make it. She is only 31 years old.

That day, she went outside to smoke a cigarette at around 9 a.m. When she went back inside, she could tell that her blood pressure levels were through the roof. Something was seriously wrong.

While she was standing at the sink, she felt sparks go off in her brain. It also felt like someone had violently ripped out her spinal cord from behind her. She sat down and lit another cigarette, hoping the feeling would pass.

She called her mom, who joked that she had probably consumed too much coffee. Then, she Googled her symptoms. According to Google, she was having a stroke, so she called 911.

She waited for the ambulance outside. When the paramedics arrived, another obstacle arose. They realized there would be no one else to watch Cheyanne’s kids, so they had to wait for another trusted adult to come over before transporting her. Once they finally loaded her up into the ambulance, she immediately began vomiting.

They also called for a helicopter to airlift her from the hospital to another facility better equipped to handle her condition. She had a CT scan done before being flown out.

From that point on, her memory becomes hazy. She barely remembers the helicopter ride and does not remember arriving at the second hospital.

When she eventually woke up, she found herself squinting at everyone around her, which, looking back, was pretty funny. In the aftermath, Cheyanne made a major lifestyle change.

She has not smoked again ever since. She is still going through the recovery process, working on her balance, coordination, and even running.

Many TikTok users shared their own frightening experiences with strokes and brain hemorrhages at young ages. It just goes to show that listening to your body can save your life. Luckily, Cheyanne listened to Google!

“I had a brain hemorrhage at 34 years old in May 2019. The hospital didn’t take me seriously. They thought it was just a headache and had me wait hours, and I almost died. I have permanent vision loss on the left half of both my eyes,” commented one user.

“I’m so glad you got through this. My stroke permanently changed my eyesight, and I went from 20:20 [in] both eyes to blind in my left eye and 20:400 in my right eye,” wrote another.

“My friend had that happen to him on November 12, and he doesn’t remember anything from that day, and was in the hospital until January 5. He is smoke-free now and recovering slowly,” added someone else.
