Recently, TikToker Ari (@ari.helvs) experienced the ultimate betrayal from someone who was supposed to be the love of her life.

She found out that her fiancé had cheated on her three months before their wedding. They started dating in college and had been together for six and a half years.

“He was such an amazing boyfriend,” said Ari. “He did everything right. He did all the little things. He just loved me so well. And I think that he really had me fooled so hard and same with everyone else in my life. Everyone thought he was an amazing person.”

She discovered the cheating when she went through his phone and saw messages from a girl that they knew in college. They were talking about Plan B and how good “it” felt. It also happened right in their apartment.

There had been no signs that anything was amiss. He cheated on December 26, and she found out on January 19. Those three weeks had been completely normal.

The reason she was on his phone in the first place was that she had left her own phone in the car. They were at a theme park for his mom’s birthday, and she held onto his phone so they could go on one last ride.

She sat there on the bench, playing around on the phone while she waited for them. That girl’s name was at the top of his messages, so she clicked on her name, and the evidence was all there.

When he and his mom got off the ride and walked toward her, she straightened up and handed the phone back to him. The messages must have still been up because he immediately whispered in her ear to give him a chance to explain.

They got in the car and drove back to their Airbnb. During the ride, she texted her sister about what had happened. She also told his mom, and she was shocked. She asked Ari if she needed to go home. So, she went home and had a long sob session.

The next day, he got dropped off. They went on a four-mile walk and talked about everything. He told her that it was just a one-time lapse in judgment.

Obviously, she called off the wedding, and he is paying for any fees and deposits that they will lose. She also messaged the girl on social media to thank her for helping to expose him for who he truly is.

In the comments section, many TikTok users shared their own stories of cheating and betrayal.

“My fiancé cheated on me four months before our wedding day. And if I didn’t physically catch him, he would have never told me and just let things continue. And the girl was also a very good friend of his for many, many years,” commented one user.

“Eight years. Fiancé cheated eight months into our wedding planning. He’s still with the girl, but I saw him at a wedding last Friday, and he told me he missed me. They never change, and it’s been two years. Letting go won’t be easy, but you will be proud of yourself once you heal. Never allow that disrespect,” shared another.

“Mine did, too. Except I found out the day I bought my wedding dress. I see you, sister. It gets better, I promise,” added a third.
