When a husband turns a romantic trip into an opportunity for non-consensual creep shots, is that a dealbreaker?
This 34-year-old woman has a 35-year-old husband, and they have been married for a year so far. A couple of weeks ago, they took a romantic vacation to Spain.
It’s not unusual for women on the beaches there to go without their tops, and she and her husband bantered a bit about these sights.
She says that they’re only human, and it was impossible for them not to look at such a shocking thing, as that’s not exactly a normal occurrence in America.
“The bad part is I was using his phone yesterday and was looking through the vacation pictures (he has the latest iPhone; this is normal for us; I wasn’t snooping),” she explained.
“I saw he had deliberately angled the phone to take a picture of a woman that [didn’t have a top on] on the beach. I remember the moment because he had insisted on taking a picture of me walking into the water.”
“This was a ruse to take a picture of the woman beside me. I’m sickened and appalled. Is there any hope of him regaining my trust when he’d do something like this?”
She’s left wondering if this sneaky photo could be the end of their relationship.
What her husband did is so creepy and disrespectful; not only to her for pretending to make her the subject of his photo, but to this other woman, who obviously did not give her husband permission to take that picture in the first place.
She absolutely should be questioning whether she wants to stay married to him after the stunt he pulled. The sheer audacity it took for her husband to say he wanted to take a photo of her while actually framing up another woman’s body is gross.
He turned a sweet memory into a lie, and every time she thinks of that vacation, she’s going to remember that he was using her to cover up his sleazy behavior.
