Some people truly will do anything for views on the internet. So if you knew someone was humiliating their spouse in order to get people watching their content, would you out them?
This 31-year-old man has a 40-year-old stepsister who has been making videos on TikTok, and all she does is embarrass her husband nonstop.
“It’s the most stereotypical account of that type that you could imagine. A lot of videos of her scrubbing a single plate and talking about how she’s a stay-at-home wife who has to clean and take care of the kids all day, and when he gets home he doesn’t help at all,” he explained.
This is a complete lie, because his stepsister doesn’t even clean the house at all; her 63-year-old mom does. His stepsister’s mom comes over twice every week to clean since his stepsister sits on her phone all day every day and doesn’t lift a finger.
Additionally, his stepsister’s kids, who are 14 and 11, are enrolled in programs before and after school since they live out of town. This means the kids are always at school, and their dad picks them up when he’s done at work.
He’s known about his stepsister’s account for a year, and he never said anything about it to her husband, since she was largely anonymous.
“But lately she’s been using his name and even posting videos of him to her account, bemoaning how her marriage [is awful] and how fat he is,” he added.
“And then when the comments agree with her and tell her to leave him, she replies in agreement. I figured at that point, with her violating his privacy, he should be told about the account, so I sent him a text with a link to the account and an apology for not telling him sooner.”
“He confronted her about the things she was saying about him; they had a huge fight, and from what I’ve heard, they haven’t been talking. I feel a bit bad, but I also don’t think I did anything wrong.”
His family is divided, with his stepbrother on his side, and his stepmom on his stepsister’s side. His dad is refusing to get involved, and their whole extended family is evenly taking sides.
He’s left wondering if he was wrong to out his stepsister to her husband.
Of course, his stepmom is defending his stepsister; she’s already enabled her by showing up at her house twice a week to pick up her messes. His stepmom thinks this woman can do no wrong.
I think exposing his stepsister was an act of basic human decency. His stepsister deserves to be divorced for bullying her husband like that to strangers on the internet.
It’s so beyond cruel to post your spouse’s face and name while tearing them down like that for likes and views.
